Hello, I’m Amelia
I work as a project manager. I'm a parent and an expat living in Brighton, United Kingdom.
A few years back I moved here with my family. What began as a short-term contract gradually became a new chapter of life overseas.
How It Started
Moving to United Kingdom wasn't in our long-term plan. Like many international moves, it started with a job opportunity and soon grew into something much bigger.
The early months were demanding — new systems, new routines, new expectations. Everyday tasks felt more complicated than they should.
The Adjustment Period
Culture shock, uncertainty, and hands-on learning were part of it. Over time, routines settled in. We found places that fit our needs, connected with other families, and began creating something that felt stable.
Why I Built Orikal Siven Dor
Most online resources were either corporate relocation guidance or shallow tourism content. What was lacking was a truthful, everyday family viewpoint.
